Use Well The Days!

Use well the days: that pretty much sums up my blog well. Its message is clear—live well, cherish every moment, savor life, enjoy our relationships, use our time on this earth wisely. In my writings I think you’ll find this theme throughout. I love to enjoy life, I love to have fun, I value accomplishing things. I also have big dreams and dozens of ideas a week—you’ll find a plethora of ideas here, some for truly unique business ideas, some for homeschool or for motivating kids, some for family life, vacation, etc. My hope is that some of you will take my ideas and run with them—I’d love to see them realized, as I won’t be able to possibly fulfill all of my dreams in one lifetime!

My name is Jerilyn and I am a stay-at-home mother with four young children. We homeschooled for five years but now my children attend a new local public Montessori school. We still homeschool part-time however, on breaks and over the summer. My husband and I are natural entrepreneurs, and are regularly trying out our own business ideas. I have a passion for history, especially the Middle Ages, but I love all history, so you’ll sometimes find posts on different periods of history and what I’m learning about our past. I also love the needle arts, the performing arts, fantasy and sci-fi, gardening & landscaping, cooking & baking & preserving. I am a big fan of all things Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Narnia. I am also a Christian who loves communing with the Lord in my heart every day. But my family has left the mainstream Christian church model—we are seeking to know the Lord at a deeper level in our community house church. Christ is a daily part of my life, but I’m not a big evangelist, so don’t expect sermons here—more like the underlying thread that ties everything in my life together.

So, basically, you might find anything and everything my mind is dwelling on. I read a lot of books, and will share my thoughts on some of them. My hope is you will join me in learning about life, generating unusual ideas, learning new things and cherishing our moments here together.
