True Adventure and Family Bonding

Our experience at the Rennaissance Festival exemplifies true adventure. Adventure happens with the unexpected, and with hardship to overcome. At the time it usually is not enjoyable, just hard. But when you overcome and get through hardship together, this creates memories and bonding. Gary Smalley in his “Keys to Loving Relationships” series, mentions that the one element close families have in common is getting through unexpected hardships together. So he says it’s a good thing when you’re camping or on vacation and some small thing goes wrong, so you can struggle through it together. This creates the memories and bonding you will later cherish.
