I got this new idea today--I have regular ideas for cool summer camps. Maybe I should look into running some someday.
I think it would be awesome to have a Lara Croft Tombraider-styled summer program. Every summer the program could focus on a different part of the world, and study its ancient history, geography, legends and artifacts. During camp the participants would train hard. We would work hard to get into top physical shape (running, swimming, lifting weights), practice specific skills such as rock-climbing, swimming, gymnastics. We would have an obstacle course to work at. There would be lessons on shooting guns (we'd probably use bb guns or paintball guns, with only adults taking a real gun shooting course). We could learn to drive four-wheelers and something instead of a real motorcycle (a moped perhaps). At the end of the program, we would set up a real-looking "tomb" setting for that particular country, and give participants missions to complete within it. It would be open for guys or gals. The intensity of it would vary according to age groups.
