When my youngest was 3 and 4 years old, he would often tell me to "slow down" or "be quiet." Just today, at five, he told me to "settle down"! (Okay, I get a little wound up with caffeine and we were playing.)
When we ordered Chinese for supper, my oldest used to ask for Crab Rangoons by calling them "Cranberry Goons."
My third child once saw an airplane in the sky. He cried out, "Mom, I see a floating whale!"
My youngest once heard me scolding the kids, saying "We don't want this to go to waste!" He cried, "I want to go to waste!"
Upon arriving at St. Louis, we challenged the kids to see who could be the first to spot the St. Louis Arch. After a moment, our youngest said "I see the Itch!"
