The No Diet Diet Plan

How do I know that this Right-Brain Dieting is working?

First of all, I noticed that with my right brain in charge, I was becoming more in tune with my body, and listening to it constantly. As a result, I have found myself, overall, eating less than I did before. Because there aren't any limited foods, I no longer obsess about and crave them, so I'm set free in that area. At mealtimes I eat until my body tells me to stop, and that's usually before I am completely full. I end up feeling just on the edge of hunger almost all the time, and that is where we're supposed to be. It's not an uncomfortable feeling. On the contrary, being in that state gives me more energy.

I also have gotten back into the habit of only eating when I'm hungry, and not when I'm not.

Sometimes I'd eat a wonderful treat like the recipe for Macaroni Grill's Rosemary Bread. Then, later, my body would tell me that I'd had enough rich food for the day and to focus on a salad or more vegetables for supper. I've noticed that overall, I'm craving red meats less and vegetarian foods more.

Now the sugar, that's another story...

This sounds like a brilliant plan.  It is after all what many of the healthy lifestyle (as

opposed to diet) plans recommend.  I'm glad it's working for you.  I have a problem

with emotional eating and so, I fear, this approach might not work for me.
