Some Homemade Breads are Flops

August 12, 2007: Today we ate slices of sourdough toast, but it is so sour-tasting (all that long rising) that we can only stomach it with jelly on top. Some breads just are a flop. I ended up disposing of the loaves, after several attempts at eating it.

August 13, 2007: Today I meant to make some better bread, but my energy was low and I just didn't feel like doing it. Just as well, because it was really hot and I don't need to run the oven on a day like this.

I'm trying to get in the habit of housecleaning. Today I spent about an hour cleaning the main room (living room and kitchen). It felt good. I didn't feel like doing it, either, but once I made myself get started I was fine and enjoyed it.

Then we ran errands (at Super Target I bought frozen pizzas and eggs--the pizzas are for this weekend, when I'll be out of town), and we traded kids with my friend's family. I took the kids out to a favorite Indian lunch buffet, as Sean was having a hard time with work and I wanted to stay away longer--and we love Indian food. It was so delicious!

I got my cloth feminine pads in the mail today. I'll be trying them out in a couple of weeks.

I sewed on the LOTR costumes today, read, napped and played my computer game, Oblivion.
