This song was written by the same church that wrote "Holy Child of God". It's to the tune "There's a Stirring" by Caedman's Call, one of their early songs. You may have some difficulty finding the music for this one, but if you do manage to find it, you'll discover it's worth any extra effort. The song is so beautiful and celtic sounding. Note: the first verse is mostly as Caedman's Call wrote it--the other verses were added by the home church I mentioned.
When reading these words, imagine it is the Bride and Jesus speaking in turn. The second verse reflects Him stirring to life from inside the tomb.
THERE'S A STIRRING
There's a stirring deep within me
Surely now my time has come
Now I see my gracious Savior
Face to face and all is done.
It is His voice I am hearing:
"Come away, my precious one."
He is calling me, He is calling me!
CHORUS:
I will rise up, rise up
And bow down, and lay my crown
At His wounded feet.
There's a stirring deep within me
Surely now my time has come.
Now I see my own Beloved
Thank you, Father, we are one.
It is her voice I am hearing:
"You're the only worthy one."
She is calling me, She is calling me!
CHORUS 2:
I will rise up, rise up
Take my bride, by my side
Live eternally.
There's a stirring deep within me
Surely now my time has come
Portions of my very being
Gathered into me as one.
All of mine are yours, my Father
Yours are mine now glorified.
One eternally, one eternally!
CHORUS 3:
It is finished, finished
All is done
Hearts are one
You're the only one! (repeat chorus 3)
There's a stirring deep within me...
