You're a Picture Who Defies All Words

This song was written together by another of our home churches. It's to the familiar tune of "If" by Bread. You'll notice that with some of our songs, we don't always completely rewrite them, but sometimes we simply modify the original words to reflect Christ. This song again is a conversation between Jesus and His bride.

YOU'RE A PICTURE WHO DEFIES ALL WORDS

You're a picture who defies all words

And all I paint is You

'Cause words can never show

The you I've always known.

Your face has launched a billion stars

And set them all in place.

My Father's words are true;

There is no home but You!

CHORUS:

And for your life

I've given everything

I take your hand

You bear my name.

You're a man who's in two realms at one time

And now I am in You.

Tomorrow and today;

Beside You all the way.

When the world stops revolving,

Spinning slowly down to die.

I'll spend the end with you

And when the world is through,

CHORUS 2:

Then, one by one

The stars will all come home,

And you and I will live in Him as One!
