Now that school is out and the summer is starting, I've gotten a boost of energy and have decided to make some goals for the summer.
I had fun coming up with my list, which includes seventeen categories, with 1-5 specific goals in each (most having only 1-2). The categories include finances, health, sewing, community, homeschool, church life, going to the pool, vacation, rangering, crafts, some clubs I've started, home, simplicity and garden. The goals vary from sewing medieval garb, to going to our pool at least two times a week, to some simplicity challenges such as the whole family going without electricity for a weekend, or myself wearing just a few simple medieval gowns for a month. The community goals include finding a horse farm for me and the kids to volunteer at (something they've been wanting to do), and to all go meet a house-bound neighbor and get to know her this summer.
Now I just need to organize the specific goals by month so I get them done on time. But without any conscious thought, I just started wearing my medieval gowns every day, and now it's been a week and I love it. More on that, with photos, soon.
